Raleigh-Cary NC metro area is rated the strongest in the entire state of NC according to a recent report with the Brookings Institution.  The report is based on rankings of economic performace based on six key economic indicators: employment, unemployment rate, labor wages, gross metropolitan product, housing prices and foreclosure rates.

Opportunity now to Move Up!

There are two words you want to understand about the real estate market, (1) opportunity, and (2) relative. There is always opportunity in a real estate market, but there is the most opportunity now that has been in the last 40 years! Here is why… Mortgage loan rates are at the lowest in the last 40 years as the 30 yr fixed rate today is at the 4.5% range. A 15 yr fixed rate is in the 4.25% range as is a 5/1 ARM. Also there exist a great selection of resale homes and new homes in most areas with lower prices–so you are able to save thousands now. The low loan rates provide huge savings also–it is like a huge price drop on the home–so double savings!

The second point is a relative home market. This applies to you if you own a home. You will want to consider the following.
